Villa Escudero – A touch of bygone

Whether you like to visit a touch of bygone, or whether you just want to relax and take a thousand photos, these pages must show. Once you step your foot in Villa Escudero, everything will remind you of bygone. Every corner will remind you of certain memory you won’t want to miss to become another memory.

Villa Escudero – A touch of bygone from 1923 to 1990s.

Mutya, a very pretty carabao-drawn cart, is the mode of transportation inside the Hacienda. Also, staff in Baro at Saya serenades us up to the lunch area. Several sculptures are showing the Filipino traditions as we wander to the lunch area.

Buffet lunch is at Labasin water falls with only local dishes (Inihaw na baboy is my favorite). Dining with the waterfall backdrop and the water running over our feet is so interesting. And the other person with their family enjoying big meals is so Filipino. It’s almost like a fiesta! The ambiance makes you eat big it feels so home (Tho I’m not satisfied with the taste of other food). Except the unfriendly flying creatures that you need to drive away so you won’t accidentally eat them.

There is a show every after lunch, They were dancing Filipino folk dances. (Just like the old times) I remember we’ve had a hard time when our PE teacher taught us folk dance when we were in high school.

As I said, there are a lot of activities; I tried fishing for the first time and that was so exciting. It looks boring but when you learned the technique, that’s the time you never want to stop doing it. I was like a child when I almost got my very first catch but the fish there are so smart! They have a technique too! You put a bait and in a blink of an eye the bait is already gone! I think they were trained! Lol!

I wonder what it tastes like. I din’t try this. If you tried this, tell me what it tastes like.

Even if you don’t want any activities, the views are enough. I can’t find the right words to explain the beauty inside Villa Escudero. So I just let these pictures explain to you, guys.

It’s time to go home but it seems like Villa Escudero don’t want us to go home yet. We entered the museum but taking of pictures is strictly not allowed. But hey, aren’t these pink house, church, and playground too cute? and It’s Ligaya’s turn.

I enjoyed Villa Escudero experience and I’m kinda miss it while writing this post. Bygone, vintage (things or place), or whatever you call it will always have a special place in my heart.
